Recently the mother of a friend of mine died.
I wrote her a poem.
It's a poem in dutch, but i tried to translate it in english.

Dutch version:

Droomzacht engel,
Leg je hoofdje zachtjes neer
dan wieg ik je stilletjes heen en weer.
Doe je oogjes zachtjes toe
want ik weet het, je bent moe.

Je slaat je vleugels voor het laatst uit
En toen had je voor het eerst gehuilt.
Zo sluiten we een hoofdstuk af
met alle liefde die je gaf.
Slaap nu maar zacht
en de zon die nu nog schijnt
is jij die naar me lacht.

English version:

Sweet dreams angel,
Put your head down softly
So i can cradle you silently back and forth.
Close your eyes softly
Cause i know it, you're tired.

You brake out your wings just one last time
and that's the moment you cried for the first time.
This is how we close a chapter
with all the love you gave.
Now sweet dreams
En the sun that still shines
is you who smiles at me.
